Is it necessary to book in advance for the talk or workshop?
Tickets at the door were still available when on-line bookings closed, but the number of people who can attend is strictly limited for fire-safety reasons so it is advisable to come early to buy tickets.

How will I receive my ticket?
When you complete the the on-line registration process you will be prompted to return to the visit web-site, where you can print your own ticket.

How do receive my ticket without a printer
Please take a note of your booking confirmation number. Bring this with you to the event and you will issued with a ticket.

What is your policy on concessions?
People under eighteen, students in full-time education, people on income support or disability benefit, senior citizens and ordained monks or nuns will receive a concessionary rate, with appropriate documentation as appropriate. Please bring this documentation to the event.

How can I book without a credit card?
Advanced registration is now closed. You should be able to register by cheque or cash at the events. However, we cannot guarantee that places will be available, so it is advised to come early.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
If you cancel up to two weeks before the event we will return your payment, retaining 25% of the event fee for an administration charge. If you cancel less than two weeks before the event there will be no event fee refund.

Can I come for only part of the Saturday workshop?
It is recommended that you attend for the full day. We can only sell tickets for the whole day.

Will any food or drinks be included, or are there places to get coffee or food for lunch at the venue or nearby?
There will be no refreshments at the Friday public talk. The fee for the Saturday workshop does not include the cost of lunch. However, the Kensington Events Centre is located just off Kensington High Street where there are many places to have lunch.

Will there be disabled access for these events?
Yes, there is full wheelchair access at both venues.

Is it necessary to be have experience of meditation to attend the talk or workshop?
Beginners to meditation are very welcome to attend both the talk and the workshop.

Is it necessary to be a Buddhist to attend these teaching?
Although Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche is a Buddhist people of any faith or none are very welcome to attend.

How should I dress for these events?
For the workshop please wear clothes which allow you to sit cross-legged comfortably.

May I take photographs at these events?
Yes. However, please do not take flash photographs during talks.

May I record the teachings with a tape or MP3 recorder?
Personal recordings of the talks is not permitted.

Will it be possible to have a personal interview with the Sakyong?
Unfortunately, there will be no opportunities for individual interviews with the Sakyong during his London visit.

I can’t sit on a meditation cushion, will there be chairs available?
The audience at the public talk will be seated in chairs. We will provide both meditation cushion and chairs for participants at the workshop.

I can’t sit on a meditation cushion, can I still practise meditation?
Although a cross-legged sitting posture is considered ideal for meditation, it is certainly possible to practise meditation seated in a chair.

May I bring my own meditation cushion?
The audience at the public talk will be seated in chairs, but you are welcome to bring your own meditaton cushion to the workshop if you so wish.
