Public Meditation
Public meditation sessions are held on every Monday and Wednesday evening from 7:30 pm to 9:30
pm (there is no requirement to attend the whole session).
To receive meditation instruction, simply come along and ask to see the meditation instuctor.
There is no charge for meditation practice or instruction. (There may be small charges to cover refreshments such as tea and biscuits).
There should always be a meditation instructor at the Centre on Monday and Wednesday evenings but if you
cannot attend at these times, please call us and we can try to arrange appointments at other times, either
during the day or in the evening.
Open Evenings
(Mondays)
Monday evenings are especially suitable for beginners.
You can just look around and get information,
talk informally with members or learn how to meditate.
Tea and biscuits are served at 7:30pm before the meditation session.
Monday meditation sessions are preceded by a yoga class for which there is a charge.
Community Practice Evenings
(Wednesdays)
Meditation practice is from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The last ten minutes include the optional recitation of traditional Shambhala Buddhist chants, after which tea and biscuits are served. Sometimes there may be special practices or short talks.
Newcomers are very welcome and meditation instruction is available.
Nyinthüns
(First Sunday of each calendar month)
Meditation practice is from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm in the main hall.
Newcomers are very welcome. However if you require meditation instruction, please arrange this in advance.
Sitting meditation is also generally organised in the afternoon from 2.30 to 4.30, with the upstairs meditation room available for children (parents share childcare).
